Articles, Blogs and Learning

  • Bob Bailey’s Articles: An excellent resource to learn about subtleties of diving, such as gas management, what to do when you hit “deco” by accident, what are basic skills every diver should have? Bob also teaches classes at 5th Dimension

  • Koos du Prez: Koos is Seattle’s GUE instructor, and a great resource to learn about standardized gear configurations, Hogarthian setups, etc. Koos teaches GUE classes at 5th Dimension.


Clubs and Groups

  • GUE Seattle: GUE Seattle is the Seattle-based group of GUE (Global Underwater Explorers) divers. GUE Seattle hosts the Wednesday dives (aka WWW, aka West Wacky Wednesdays, aka Tweeks). Find the Visit their Facebook Page to find out about other dives/boats/etc.

  • Northwest Underwater Explorers: An open-to-all FB group for planning dives, discussing diving, posting dive reports, etc. NWUE dives are solid team-oriented dives with only two rules: 1. We don’t dive solo, and 2. We don’t dive deep air.

  • Northwest Dive Club: Your go-to resource for all-things-PNW diving. A free open-to-all group for discussing all-things-diving, and many things non-diving. Just a fun place to hang out and chat and read and discuss. Virtually every diver in the PNW area is on the forums. Great place to find instructors, get reviews/opinions on gear/training, look for advanced training, planning dives, planning trips, finding out about dive news, etc.

  • Scuba Board: Scuba board is the NWDC for the entire world. Virtually all divers across the globe are here. You can learn/understand diving in Italy, or Norway or the Carribean. You can learn about what the global diving community is upto. Latest news, updates, and so on.
